A VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF THE AMAZON AND ITS PEOPLE
People of the Forest is committed to preserving the Amazon Rainforest, known as the Lungs of the Earth, a vital ecosystem for global climate balance and biodiversity.
Through regenerative agriculture and traditional Indigenous ecological knowledge, Project Yawanawá supports the Yawanawá people in building resilient food systems and restoring their forest lands. This foundation of education and hands-on training strengthens community led conservation and food sovereignty.
The project’s model will expand to empower other Amazonian communities and bioregions, creating a living network of Indigenous stewards working together to protect the forest and its people for generations to come.
